Customs, Tax Rebate and Customs Brokerage Information
We can connect you to custom brokers and meeting planners to expedite entry of exhibits and convention materials to Canada.
The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is applied at a single rate of 13% to a base of goods and services. If you are a non-resident (non-Canadian) sponsor, organizer, exhibitor, incentive house, or a participant in an event, you may be eligible for a rebate of this tax. Promotional Materials to Generate Excitement and Build Delegate Attendance
Destination Halifax will help you promote our wonderful destination by providing you with promotional literature - videos, slideshows, and printable brochures. We can offer a variety of registration kit materials as well as official letters of invitation or welcome from either our Municipal or Provincial government. No visit to Halifax would be complete without a personalized "Order of Good Times Certificate", (from North America's oldest social club) for your out-of-town delegates.
